At God's Property Church, our mission is to provide spiritual guidance, practical support, and a sense of community to all who seek our help. We are dedicated to embodying the principles of compassion, unity, and hope in every aspect of our work.
What We Do
Refugee Support God's Property Church is well-known for its significant efforts in supporting Congolese refugees fleeing conflict and instability in their homeland. We provide essential services such as food, shelter, medical care, and education to hundreds of refugees who arrive at our doors seeking safety and hope.
Apostle Lawrence Lumu
Apostle Lawrence Lumu is a passionate and committed leader whose vision extends beyond the church walls. Known for his tireless dedication to humanitarian causes, Pastor Lumu has played a pivotal role in transforming God's Property Church into a vital resource for those in need. His leadership is characterized by a profound sense of compassion and an unwavering commitment to service.
One of the many initiatives Pastor Lumu and God's Property Church actively participates in is the Shelter of Hope, a program dedicated to supporting displaced Congolese families and others in need. Every week, buses arrive in Busia, Uganda, carrying families who have fled hardship and conflict, often arriving with nothing but the clothes on their backs and uncertain of what the future holds.
At God’s Property Church, we are stepping in to provide food, temporary shelter, and spiritual support to these vulnerable families. With limited resources, the church building itself is a simple structure of metal roofing and no walls. Families often make tents within the church using plastic sheets to create temporary spaces for rest. Despite these challenges, the church remains a sanctuary of hope, offering care and comfort during difficult times.
Through the Shelter of Hope, we aim to offer not only immediate relief but also a sense of hope and direction during their most challenging times. Your involvement and generosity can make a life-changing difference in these efforts, ensuring that displaced families have the resources and care they desperately need.
Local Community Outreach Our church is deeply involved in the local community, offering various programs and services to support the residents of Busia. These include:
Food Distribution: Regularly providing meals and food supplies to those in need.
Medical Camps: Organizing health camps to offer free medical check-ups and treatments.
Educational Support: Offering tutoring and educational resources to children and adults to enhance their learning opportunities.
Nationwide Initiatives Beyond Busia, God's Property Church extends its outreach across Uganda, working in collaboration with other organizations and churches to support various humanitarian efforts. These include:
